
Day 01 (Sat)Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Welcome to the airport and assistance with immigration and customs formalities by our tour guide. Transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.Day 02 (Sun) After breakfast, departure from the hotel for a half-day tour to visit
the Pyramids of Giza, the sun boat, the Sphinx and the Temple of
the Valley. Khufu`s Pyramid, the largest of the three, was built in the
4th dynasty, about 2960 B.C., and is one of the seven wonders of the ancient
world. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day will be at your disposal. Optional
trip to Memphis and Sakkara (DEM 55.--). Evening with Sound &
Light show at the pyramids. Overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 03 ( Mon) Today we will depart for a full-day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum famous
for its antiquities from Egypt`s Pharaonic period, which dates back some
50 centuries and includes the fabulous treasures of King Tutankhamen. Subsequently,
inspection of the Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Alabaster Mohammed Ali Mosque
on the citadel. Later on attendance of the Medieval Bazaars of Khan-El-Khalili
where you can bargain for Egyptian goods including jewelry, hand-tooled
leather items and much more. In the late afternoon, transfer to Cairo Domestic
Airport for a flight to Luxor. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay
in Luxor.
Day 04 (Tue)Early morning passage to the West Bank. We will visit the Valley of the Kings where 64 Pharaos have been discovered - also the Valley of the Queens, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, and we will see the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon we will visit the Temple of Karnak back on the East Bank, which took over 1500 years to be built and is considered the world`s largest religious complex. Then we visit The Temple of Luxor, which was started by Amenhotep III and was completed by Ramesses II. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day at your disposal. In the late evening we will depart to attend the Sound & Light show at Karnak Temple. Back to the hotel and dinner. Overnight stay in Luxor.Day 05 (Wed)After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Aswan by bus. On the way we will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Umbo, which was dedicated to two gods: the crocodile god, Sobek, and the falcon-headed god, Horus. See the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best-preserved Egyptian temple. After our arrival in Aswan in the afternoon we will start a half-day tour by felucca to see Lord Kitchener Island on the Nile and visit the Botanical Gardens and also the Island of Elephantine. Transfer to the hotel and dinner. Overnight stay in Aswan.Day 06 (Thu)Today we will go on to driving the High Dam in Aswan, the Granite Quarries and the Unfinished Obelisk. Afterwards, boat trip to the island Agilkia to see the Philae Temple. Transfer to Aswan Airport and flight to Abu Simbel. Transfer to the hotel. After check-in we will visit the Temple of Ramesses II and his wife Nofertari. Dinner and overnight stay in Abu Simbel.Day 07 (Fri)Today we will enjoy the sunrise at the Temples of Abu Simbel in the early morning. After breakfast and check-out we will be transferred to the airport and fly back to Cairo via Aswan. Transfer to the hotel and rest of the day at your disposal. Tonight we will experience the highlight of this tour. A dinner at the plateau at the Pyramids with music and videos of Earth, Wind & Fire.
